Hi - my Name is Dirk Baigent. I'm a graphic designer based in Austria with Kiwi roots. It took me most of my school years to find out what I love and am passionate about - design. My career path was unconventional to say the least.

I tried to get an apprenticeship as a media designer with help of some government youth employment programmes. But in this industry, jobs are much desired but hardly available. After my parents paid for some other courses with graphic design and a lot of learning by doing I tried my hand as self-employed graphic designer. I mainly did christian t-shirts and band merch. This was fun at the time but when my relationship with my girlfriend got serious I decided that it was time for a real job. I polished my portfolio and after many rejections I finally got a job at an advertising agency and the rest is history ;-). Enjoy my portfolio.

On this project we had to code two functions: 1. Transcript highlights as video plays.
2. The video skips to the proper place in the video when the transcript clicked.
